I’ve read Paul Arden’s books, It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be and Whatever You Think, Think The Opposite (Get them here) mulitple times. I’m currently reading the latter, and the following lesson resonated with me:
“The best piece of advice ever given was by the art director of Harper’s Bazaar, Alexey Brodovitch, to the young Richard Avedon, destined to become one of the world’s greatest photographers. The advice was simple:
Bear these words in mind, and whatever you do will be creative.”
Simple and inspiring. Love it.
